The inaugural vintage of the Serial Adelaida District Zinfandel hails from the limestone-rich slopes of the acclaimed Adelaida District in northwestern Paso Robles. An inky-garnet hue foreshadows aromas of dried holiday fruits, anise, and raspberry danish with hints of caramelized pecans. Lively on the palate with complex flavors of black stone fruits, spiced pomegranate, and fresh rosemary. A linear, narrow, mid-palate weight gradually accelerates towards the back palate revealing layers of fresh minerality that linger on the finish. Only 250 cases produced.
Vintage Notes: The 2021 growing season was a winemaker’s dream in Paso Robles. Cool spring conditions yielded to warm and steady summer temperatures, followed by moderate weather into harvest. Patience was required as the grapes reached full maturity, and the payoff was worth the wait: excellent fruit structure and beautifully balanced flavors. A true standout vintage for Paso Robles.
