Sourced from the rugged, limestone-studded slopes of Paso Robles’ Adelaida District, this Zinfandel is bold, structured, and deeply expressive. Medium ruby with pale purple hues, it opens with aromas of black raspberry, macerated strawberry, anise, and sweet tobacco. The palate builds in layers—black currant, spiced jam, and pipe smoke interwoven with violet and black pepper. A soft entry quickly deepens into a complex mid-palate, where baking spice and cigar box emerge, leading to a plush fruit core framed by balanced tannins and lingering savoriness.
Vintage Notes:
The 2022 growing season in Paso Robles was shaped by intensity. A warm, dry winter led to early bud break, followed by a steady, mild spring. Then, a powerful heatwave in early September accelerated ripening, producing smaller, deeply concentrated berries. The result is a vintage defined by richness, structure, and power—expressing the full depth of the Adelaida District.
